SUBJECT OR TOPIC: present perfect revision + analyzing graphs and financial statements vocabulary extended practise
LANGUAGE FUNCTIONS: from adjectives into adverbs to describe trends (sharp - sharply, etc) - use and formation of present perfect + difference in use and structure with simple past
VOCABULARY: dipped, plummetted, soared, rose, fell, increased, decreased + adverbs (steadily, sharply, slightly), tripled, quadrupled, beat expectation, was below expectations, underperformed, inconsistencies, incongruencies, to flag inconsistencies
PHRASES / EXPRESSIONS: contrary to our expectations - met our expectations - exceeded our expectations
GRAMMAR: present perfect use & structure, difference with simple past - we analyzed the contrast between both.
PRONUNCIATION: I've, she's, we've, they've
HOMEWORK: finish worksheet on graph analysis and two sentences answering the two remaining questions about her career and lessons learned (present perfect)
