UNITS: Gestures and Manners  VOCABULARY: That fits into their schedule; to behave; to stand up; arm; forehead; hand; neck; head/face; chin; shoulder; thighs; feet/foot; knees; back; to show; thumbs up; meat/meet; bless you; performance; handshake; shake your hand; pick your nose; raise your eyebrows; stamp your feet; roll your eyes; point your finger; shake hands; clench your fists; hygienic; punctual PHRASES / EXPRESSIONS: When annoyed or angry at someone GRAMMAR: Verb + body part collocations (e.g. shake hands, raise eyebrows); past simple for storytelling; modal verbs for polite requests and rules (implicitly practiced) PRONUNCIATION: Modelling and group correction during collocation and idiom stages OTHER: All of the vocabulary introduced was new to her, which made the lesson especially beneficial. She expressed interest in cultural comparisons of etiquette and participated actively in discussion. To support her comprehension, we worked through the audio together using guided listening strategies. PROGRESS: Her fluency continues to improve, particularly in structured speaking tasks. With support, she was able to follow the listening activity and identify key ideas. FEEDBACK: She engaged positively with the material and showed motivation to learn. Vocabulary retention was a focus, and she handled the idioms and collocations well. HOMEWORK: Prepare to share a short story next time about a time you witnessed or experienced good or bad manners, using at least five body-related verbs or expressions from today’s lesson.
