BUSINESS SITUATIONS:Meetings in the workplace (formal and informal), scheduled vs spontaneous gatherings, and communication during collaborative work.

PHRASES / EXPRESSIONS:The efficiency of our new employee is impressive
GRAMMAR:Modal verbs for polite requests. Structure: modal verb + subject + verb/phrase or verb+ing(e.g. Would you mind checking…?, Could you prepare…?, May I ask…?)
PRONUNCIATION:productivity, familiarise, achieve, thoughtful (thought as verb and noun), highly
OTHER:He worked well with modal verbs in context, especially identifying correct structures and correcting errors.
PROGRESS:He understood the difference between scheduled and spontaneous gatherings and confidently used new vocabulary to describe workplace scenarios.
FEEDBACK:He engaged well throughout the session. Keep reinforcing formality levels in requests, and continue reviewing passive structures as they appear in written business communication.
HOMEWORK:Review today's vocabulary. Practise writing five polite requests using different modal verbs covered in class (can, could, would, shall, may, might). Aim to vary the structure (e.g. modal + verb, modal + verb+ing).
