Ahead of schedule – early. Collocations – natural combinations of words that native speakers use. Examples: Gagner l’argent → earn money (not “win money”) Win money = lottery or gambling Earn money = through work, salary Hold a meeting / hold an interview – correct collocations. We don’t say make a meeting, we say hold a meeting. GRAMMAR Faux amis – false friends (words that look the same in French and English but mean different things) Confidence = self-assurance (≠ confidence in French, which often means trust) Actually = en fait I wanted strawberry.
