VOCAB / EXPRESSIONS
FOLDABLE (adj.) – something that can be folded (e.g., foldable chair, foldable phone).
FOLD (verb) – the action of bending something over itself.
PLAIN (adj.) – simple, not decorated.
Business Phrasal Verbs
get on with (someone) – have a good relationship with someone.
put off (something) – postpone or delay.
call off (something) – cancel.
look into (something) – investigate, find out what happened.
catch up on (something) – do something you did not have time for earlier.
pick up on (something) – notice or become aware of something.
cut down on (expenses) – reduce.
turn up (something) – find unexpectedly.
find out (about something) – learn, discover.
GRAMMAR
Phrasal verbs = verb + particle (preposition or adverb)
Example:
call off = verb (call) + particle (off).
look into = verb (look) + particle (into).
Separable phrasal verbs: some can be split by the object.
Call off the meeting = Call the meeting off.
Inseparable phrasal verbs: cannot be split.
