Units: We worked with British Council activities: Meeting New People (A1 & A2) and Shopping for Clothes (A1 Listening).
Vocabulary:
Nice to meet you - A polite phrase used after being introduced to someone.
Where are you from? - A question to ask about someone's country or hometown.
I’m from… - A way to say your country or city.
What do you do? - A question asking about someone's job or occupation.
I work as… - A phrase to describe your job (e.g. “I work as a teacher”).
Phrases / Expressions: Useful phrases included “Where are you from?”, “Can I try this on?”, and “It’s too big.”
Grammar: We reviewed present simple for introductions and basic question forms (What’s your name?, Do you like...?).
Pronunciation: Marie practiced clear word stress and natural rhythm in greetings and shopping phrases.
Other: We discussed polite ways to start a conversation and how to ask for help in a shop.
Progress: Marie is gaining confidence in speaking and listening, and is starting to use full sentences more naturally.
Feedback: She’s encouraged to keep practicing short dialogues and listening to slow, clear English.
