HOMEWORK:
Each sentence below contains an incorrect use of an idiom. Rewrite it correctly. In one case, the idiom will need to be completely replaced with the correct idiom, and in the other cases, the idiom will need rephrasing so it makes sense.
1. We tried a new marketing strategy, but it failed, so now we need to hit the nail on the head and start again from nothing.
2. The manager asked the team to cut their toes and because the project was not working.
3. It’s important to bring the ball rolling with clear ideas when starting a new project.
4. The designer had a very traditional idea, so the team asked her to go back to square the box for something more creative.
5. We want to start off on the table with our new clients to create a good first impression.
6. The proposal didn’t work, so the company decided to think outside their losses and try a completely different approach.
