Gerunds vs Infinitives
Gerund = verb + -ing (used as a noun)
Examples:

He suggested taking the earlier train.

enjoy, avoid, consider, suggest, finish, mind, admit, recommend, postpone
Infinitive = to + verb
Examples:
I want to eat chocolate.
They decided to hire more staff.
