We had a discussion about what she did, about her sons, and about the school.. BUSINESS SITUATIONS We practiced having a casual professional conversation that included personal topics. SUBJECT OR TOPIC The discussion focused on Alexandra’s job, her sons, and their school life. LANGUAGE FUNCTIONS We used English to ask questions, describe people, and express opinions. UNITS The lesson covered vocabulary and expressions related to family, work, and education. Vocabulary: sons - Male children; Alexandra’s boys who attend school. school - A place where children go to learn; includes teachers, classrooms, and subjects. teacher -A person who helps students learn in school. education system - The structure and rules of how schooling works in a country. homework - Assignments students do at home to practice what they learned in class. responsibilities - Tasks or duties someone must take care of, like work or parenting. PHRASES / EXPRESSIONS We practiced phrases such as “She works as…” and “Her sons go to…” GRAMMAR We focused on using reported speech and the correct verb forms in the third person. PRONUNCIATION We worked on stressing longer words and linking sounds naturally in conversation. OTHER We compared cultural differences between Italian and British schools.
