SUBJECT OR TOPIC: Asking Questions: Pt. 1
LANGUAGE FUNCTIONS: Forming and asking subject and object questions in present continuous, present simple, and present perfect; practising correct question order
UNITS: Asking Questions: Part 1
VOCABULARY: raise your hand, raise her/his hand, he’s making fun of her, he’s smiling, meeting, interview, meeting room, company, office, desk, dining table, chef, chief
PHRASES / EXPRESSIONS: What do you dislike about your job?; How long have you worked there?; What are you working on at the moment?; Who always cooks for you and the children?
GRAMMAR: Present continuous: subject + be + verb (ING); Present perfect: subject + have + past participle; Present simple
PRONUNCIATION: chef / chief
OTHER: Reading and information gap activities; ordering questions;
PROGRESS: The student understood the main grammar points and vocabulary; was able to form basic questions, though there was some confusion with question order and differentiating tenses. Review of tenses was useful towards the end of the lesson.
FEEDBACK: Continue practising the difference between present continuous, present simple, and present perfect, and focus on question structure and order in future lessons.
